question 1

question 2

There are two main social groups that really stand out in our opening sequence and are represented the most clearly.
Firstly, and most obviously the Polish. As our film is Polish based we tried to recreate as best we could the stereotypes we had found during the research process. Stereo typically, the Polish are quite a serious social group and this is certainly conveyed very clearly in our sequence. In the close up shot below of the main character you can see the angry scare expression on his face. Also if you click on the embedded video and skip to 2:15 you can hear the harshness and anger in the actors voices which enhances the angry serious attitude that represents the Polish group in this film.
This also leads me on to my next point about how strongly the male group is represented in Poscig. Firstly there are no female actors or characters present in the scene at all. We did this as we felt the high masculine attitude of the film would be the best way to achieve the action genre we were desiring. We also enhanced this by, as I stated earlier, the way we used speech and tone of voice
to assert male authority within the scene.
Finally, the use of violence also showed the high levels of masculinity well. From the brandishing and firing of the gun, to the way the 3 pursuers man handle the cyclist after he falls. Once again this not only shows the high paced action genre, but also portrays the men in the film as you would expect action film stars to do so.

My Portfolio Evaluation Question 3
More Information What does a production company do?? What a production company actually does is they essentially help you to create the film – they help with everything from budgeting to scripting. The company usually looks at the film when it is just an idea at first and follows it on to completion. They are responsible for almost everything that goes on within the film. As talked about we believe that the best production company for us would be Polska Produckje this is because of their Polish background, we believe that they will be able to give our film the best chance of succeeding as they would know best what would go into the Polish films and what will make them popular to our audience. Other potential distributors we searched? We did search many different distributors when making our film as we wanted to make certain that we would pick the one that best suited our film. We wouldn't just go for the main ones. We eventually decided to go for Vivarto a Polish distribution company as we feel that as they have knowledge in what we had made our film about we thought that they would be the best for us.

We did look at other options for potentially distributing our films. We looked at Universal Pictures as an option as they have distributed some very big films such as the Fast And Furious collection and as they have distributed action films like this very successfully we believe they could have done a good job on our film too.

Another distributor we looked at was Lionsgate this is also because of the vast depth of action films that they have distributed successfully such as The Hunger Games Catching Fire.
